I believe in a holistic, eclectic approach to help you find your way. There is no magic pill, magic wand, single treatment, or schooled approach that works for everyone.
I utilize several evidence-based theoretical approaches in therapy, none of which involve a crystal ball or asking “how does that make you feel?” 100 times.
I integrate a number of models, taking on an eclectic counselling approach, depending on the issues we are working on, but here are some of the most common techniques for therapy I use:
Cognitive-behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT)
Dialectical-behaviour Therapy (DBT)
And while I think it’s important to learn a little bit about the kind of family you grew up in, I won’t make you lie down and tell me everything that ever happened to you as a child, what your first memory was, or if you have parent issues (although I must admit that my office is cozy, and my loveseat is comfy).
